Chevrolet India Future Plans Revealed– 5 New Models By 2014 Posted: 21 Jun 2011 10:10 AM PDT The Indian Automobile market has been showing immense growth over the past few years and the coming time seems to be much more promising. Almost every automobile manufacturer in India has some or the other plans to capture as much market as they can and a sort of reluctance is always there to reveal such important plans. Some manufacturers like to keep their secrets with them and wait for the right time to bring them in front of the customers while the rest believe in leaving the world in anticipation by revealing only a bit of what Is going to be offered next. General Motors India (Chevrolet India) has taken the latter route and has revealed its future plans in advance so as to keep the market in anticipation and interest for the models down the line. By 2014 the company wishes to launch 5 new models in 14 different variants. The plan is interesting but the suspense part begins from here as no details have been revealed for the same. The commercial segment is on a roll [...] Chevrolet India Future Plans Revealed– 5 New Models By 2014 is a post from: CarBlogIndia - All About Automobiles. All Rights Reserved. Ford May Develop Plant In Sanand, Gujarat For Indian & Global Car Markets Posted: 21 Jun 2011 09:54 AM PDT Gujarat has always attracted most of the Industries and is the most industrialized part of our country. Ford which finally seems to have tuned the right frequency with the new 2011 Ford Fiesta is now considering expanding its Indian empire and wants to make India as its export hub. As usual Gujarat is said to have attracted the this manufacturer and its upto Ford whether it opts for the same as the destination for its export operations. The investment is simply huge and would be close enough to INR 5000 Crore. A considerable area of almost 400 acres has been allocated to Ford near Tata Motors' Nano manufacturing Sanand facility, for its export oriented unit. The new facility would also need an efficient chain of component suppliers and for the same the Gujarat government has allocated an addition 150 acres. Another factor playing an important role is the port infrastructure which is the key feature of good and efficient export operation. Having chosen Gujarat as the state, Ford would definitely want ease of accessibility to ports for smooth exporting operations. If the conditions are not in favor of the new investment plan then Ford might change its preferences and could [...] Ford May Develop Plant In Sanand, Gujarat For Indian & Global Car Markets is a post from: CarBlogIndia - All About Automobiles. Volkswagen Vento 1.4 TSi Launch In India Expected- With More Power and Mileage Posted: 21 Jun 2011 08:15 AM PDT Volkswagen Vento has achieved what it was designed for and the sales are still continuing to capture more and more of the market. Unlike other existing models in the sedan segment this car turned out to be completely different with a typical European design and impressive technology. But if you think its all what the Vento line-up is all about then we want you to wait for a while since we are expecting a new variant of the same very soon. In 2009, Volkswagen revealed its 1.4 Liter TSi Twin-charger engine and with this innovation they bagged the International Engine of the year award. The innovation lies in the combination of petrol direct injection and a twin supercharger, together achieving breathtaking performance levels without sacrificing the fuel economy. In fact this new engine has proven to be more fuel efficient than any of its ancestors. Now the same engine is very much expected with the Vento in the coming months which will drastically improve the sales of the car as in the present the petrol prices are soon going to touch the sky and in that situation companies are supposed to bring more fuel efficient models. Evidently no changes on [...] Volkswagen Vento 1.4 TSi Launch In India Expected- With More Power and Mileage is a post from: CarBlogIndia - All About Automobiles. All Rights Reserved. Twelve Skoda Fabias in total are going to compete primarily with Peugeots the number of which is expected to be the same, and so experts believe that the event will see a fierce battle between these two brands. Posted: 21 Jun 2011 12:42 AM PDT It certainly is a bad news for the car buyers who have been waiting endlessly for the launch of new Maruti Swift 2011 in India. While the new version of Suzuki Swift launched last year in Europe, it is yet to be launched in India. The road trials are on, the production was to start in July 2011, Maruti Suzuki was all set to launch it around July 2011 but an unforeseen event happened. Maruti Suzuki workers at Manesar went on a 13 days long strike! What is worse is that this is the very plant which assembles major cars for Maruti like Maruti Swift and Dzire etc.. Due to this 13 days long strike, Maruti has lost over 12,600 cars production time, which has further increased the waiting period of many of Maruti cars in India. Considering the present situation, Maruti has further postponed the launch by about 3 more months to Sep 2011. This will mean that Maruti Swift 2011 will hit Indian roads close to Diwali festival season only. I am sure there are thousands of buyers who will get very disappointed to read this information, we also feel bit disappointed with this news. This delay in [...] Maruti Swift 2011 Launch Date In India Delayed To September 2011 Due To 13 Days Worker’s Strike In June is a post from: CarBlogIndia - All About Automobiles. All Rights Reserved.
